Zagat 2007 Airline Results

Zagat in cooperation with NBC's Today Show released it's airline survey for 2007. The survey is based on public opinion. Comfort, food, service, website and timeliness were rated on a 0 to 30 scale. Survey participants were made up of 7,498 frequent fliers and travel professionals.

Midwest Airlines topped the Economy overall (average of comfort, food & service) with a total score of 23. It was followed by Virgin America and JetBlue Airways (19), Frontier Airlines (16) and Hawaiian Airlines (15).

Midwest consistently topped all three categories. While Virgin America and Jet Blue switch between 2 and 3. Southwest Airlines ranked 5th in the Economy Service category.

As for timely airlines, Southwest won the top spot, followed by Continental, JetBlue, American and United.

Southwest also topped the best website category, followed by JetBlue, Continental, Virgin and Americal.

Virgin America was the overall topnotcher in the Premium class. It consistently ranked first on all 3 major categories.
