The group behind Yo! Sushi is introducing a Japanese capsule hotel inspired budget hotel called Yotel.
Yotel offers trendy cabins that measure 7 and 10 m² for standard and premium rooms respectively. The standard room costs as low as GBP 25 (U$ 50) while a premium room costs GBP 40 ($80), both for a four hour booking. An hourly rate of GBP 5 ($10) is charged in excess of the first 4 hours. Amenities include free internet access (super!), 20" flat screen TV, bathroom that includes a shower (just what all travelers need!) and 24-hour cabin service. Plus, the 10 m² rooms are designed to accommodate wheelchair access.
The 50-cabin Yotel located at Gatwick's South terminal is already serving travelers. The branch located at Heathrow's Terminal 4 is already accepting bookings the one on in Amsterdam's Schiphol airport is scheduled to open in early 2008.
