World Cup 2006 on a Budget

Okay, so you did get that ticket, flight and hotel for that much-awaited football event. But, hey, not all of us are lucky enough to have tickets to ALL the games. Heck, a lot of those who are currently in Germany right now do not even have a single ticket to watch the game live.

Do not fret. There are still lots of ways to bask in all the World Cup frenzy and watch the games with fellow football freaks. The good thing is, you do not even have to shell out an exhorbitant amount of money.

Fans can catch the games LIVE for FREE!!! In all the 12 World Cup host cities, gigantic TVs of all types are scattered all over. All you need to do to find them is to follow the crowd.

Watching a football game wouldn't be complete (at least for some) without a beer in hand. You can buy at the kiosk. Or, for those whose budgets are really tight, head for the nearest aldi store before the games for 6-pack. Or, more.

A perfect solution, imho, for budget travellers who are currently in Deutschland.
