Work -> Save -> Travel/Vacation Abroad
In order to go on that vacation abroad, we have to toil (just like everyone else) and save a bit on the side.
However, should you...
(1) Not have enough funds saved up
(2) be able to stay away long
(3) be willing to do manual work
You might want to consider working for the cost of your accommodation and food. This way, you may also be able to learn the language and get to know the culture first-hand. Workaway lets you have all that.
Workaway is set up to promote fair work exchange between budget travellers, language learners or culture seekers and families, individuals or organizations who are looking for help with a range of varied and interesting activities.
Ueber-Budget Traveller YOU need to do 5 hours honest work per day to get food and accommodation with local hosts. You can choose to work as a gardener, childminder, painter, cook, builder, care-giver and house sitter, among others.
