Visit to Frankfurt
Filed in archive European insider on November 18, 2005
Yet another blog about my current hometown, Frankfurt.
Frankfurt, the financial center of West Germany, is the country's most important transport hub since it sits right smack in the center. Most travelers just pass by this city, thinking that there is nothing worth seeing. Visitors of the world-famous International Book Fair and the International Motor Show are surprised to see that this cosmoplitan city could actually be interesting for tourists.
If and when you do find yourself crossing Frankfurt on your way to the more famous tourist destinations like Paris, re-consider. A day in this city might be worth your while.

And if you plan on staying, do check out the new Radisson SAS. With 428 modern rooms and suites in varying interior decors, this could be perfect. This beautiful, stylishly-round hotel offers its guests a nice view of the Frankfurt Skyline.
For budget travelers, check this out for more tips on how to stretch that much-needed Euros.
driving to another destination? Make sure that you know all the DOs and DONTs of driving in Germany.
Whatever your plans are, keep in mind that options are available for every budget and taste. All you need to do is to come over.
