Unusual Hotels of the World
Filed in archive Hotels/Resorts by Melissa Petri on July 27, 2005
I used to go away on business trips a lot. I remember friends and families telling me how lucky I was that I get to fly business class and stay in posh Hotels. Little did they know that all I did was attend marathon meetings, type away reports at night in my hotel room and then rush to the airport.

I remember how boring some hotel chains were with how boring each hotel room looked.

It does not have to be like that. At least, if you are on vacation.

If hotels are more than 'just a place to sleep in' then I strongly suggest to experiment a bit and look for hotels that are well... different!

You have choices galore: stay in an Igloo, a Castle, underground/underwater, a tree house, an art gallery and even, a prison, among others.

The guys at the Unusual Hotels of the World can help you with whatever takes your curious fancy. They "offer 'experiential' hotels. Staying there is worth the trip, which will often be long and arduous, and delivers the guest a memorable and hopefully enjoyable experience. Some are luxurious, some are not, and throughout the guide you will find a range of choices to suit the budgets of every traveller."

Where else will you be able to find a hotel paired with an adventure?!
