Unique Inns, one of North America's first bed and breakfast innkeeping organizations, today announced that its 25th Anniversary Edition Guidebook, a printed directory of the group's 43 member inns, is ready for distribution to current guests and those interested in learning more about the organization and its locations.

"Guests and other fans of our inns look forward to the new guidebook because they can savor the information. It is a departure from the fast-paced technology that dominates our world," said Rose Allen, executive director of Unique Inns. "The information is available on our Web site, but many of our guests prefer to use the printed directory when planning their next stay. We believe the guidebook parallels a stay at one of our inns by taking a step back to a less hectic time. Of course having piqued their curiosity after a look through the guidebook, we encourage all interested guests to complete the experience with a personal stay at one of our superb member inns."

The 104-page, 25th Anniversary Edition includes the latest information on each member inn, maps to assist with trip planning, details on the innkeeping organization and larger, updated photos on the inns and destinations. Unique Inns currently includes 43 inns that stretch along the western border of North America with members located in British Columbia (five inns), Washington (six), Idaho (two), Oregon (11) and California (19).

"Web site addresses for individual inns are also provided in the guidebook so that guests can get additional information on each property and further explore their next trip location," Allen added.

The complimentary guidebooks are available by submitting a request at the Unique Inns Website or by calling toll free at 877-286-4783. They are also available at all Unique Inns locations. The size of the guidebook, 9 inches (23 cm) by 4 inches (10 cm), makes it easy to tuck into a purse, briefcase or carry-on bag.

Unique Inns kicked off its 25th Anniversary Celebration late last year with a three-day event that included recognition of the inns that have been part of the organization since its inception. Four of the organization's original 11 founding inns are still Unique Inns' members today, including: Jacksonville Inn in Jacksonville, Ore.; Shelburne Inn in Seaview, Wash.; Steamboat Inn in Steamboat, Ore.; and Tu Tu' Tun Lodge in Gold Beach, Ore.

The new guidebook also includes the organization's six newest members: West End Guest House in Vancouver, B.C.; the Pelican Inn, located 20 minutes north of San Francisco's golden gate bridge; The Avalon Hotel on Catalina Island off the Southern California coastline; Overleaf Lodge in Yachats (Yah' hots), along Oregon's rugged Central Coast; Lodge at Sandpoint in Idaho's beautiful panhandle and River Dance Lodge in Kooskia, Idaho. Unique Inns recently added its first locations in Idaho and also agreed to expand its current geographic area to consider potential qualifying new members located in Montana and Alaska.
