Travel to see the Kentucky Derby

If horse racing is your (or your husband's) thing then I am sure that you'd definitely consider a short summer getaway to Kentucky.

This year, the most famous event in the sport of horse racing, the Kentucky Derby, will be held on the 6th of May at Churchill Downs racetrack, in the heart of metropolitan Louisville. And when better to visit Kentucky than during this big event?

For the locals, it is actually a two-week event (April 15 - May 6) with stunning fireworks, balloon and steamboat races, and several Derby parties. Partying with them (and the rest of the Derby fans) could be fun!
