Having doubts despite the fact that London airports are operating and that train traffic has resumed? If you are thinking of cancelling, whether due to fear or hassle factor, you would be relieved to know that the travel industry has made some adjustments after the attacks.
Airlines: Most are allowing changes without penalty to and from London: United and Delta for ticketed flights through Monday, Continental July 14, British airways and Virgin Atlantic July 15, Northwest July 22, American July 31. Some also offer voucher refunds.
Hotels: Marriott has waived cancellation fees at its London area hotels through July 24; Starwood for at least a week; and Hilton for an undetermined period.
Tour operators: Some Globus and Cosmos customers have been diverted to different hotels than planned; cancellation and penalty fees apply. United Vacations is not waiving fees; passengers departing through Monday can change dates without penalty but pay any fare difference.
