Travel Insurance in your checklist

Book air tickets
Book hotel
Turn some $$ to travellers cheques
Pack bags

That's a typical traveller's checklist. And what most globetrotter forget is one of the most important of all… to secure a travel insurance.

Travelers are strongly recommended to take out travel insurances, especially when travelling overseas. Most embassies even have this "recommendation" on their websites.

Travel insurances can help reduce the stress of what-ifs should something happen while you are away from home. More than immediate health care, it could also cover issues like liability to third parties (for your clumsy moments, god forbid), theft, loss of personal possessions, flight cancellations and other things which may *knock on wood* happen even to the best of us.

There are several policies available with different inclusions, coverage and prices.

To get an idea of what is available out there, you can check out this online database and compare policies based on your needs.

People who are insured when they travel, sleep better.
