via Creative ReporterWith a varied and vibrant offering of plays, musicals, museums and art galleries, the livelier half of Minnesota's Twin Cities, Minneapolis, is an excellent travel getaway if you are passionate about the arts scene.
The city boasts of over 57 museums, more than 100 theatre venues and more theatre seats per capita than any American city after New York. Minneapolis is also home to the highly acclaimed Walker Art Center, an art museum that was recently renovated and has an events calendar consisting of a diverse selection of art exhibitions, dance performances and film screenings from all over the world.
Other must-see places on the arts agenda include the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, which is one of the country's largest urban sculpture parks and features more than 40 works of art, the historically rich Minneapolis Institute of Arts and the Weisman Art Museum with its stunning design.
There is so much to see in this artsy city that it helps to plan out all the places you want to visit well in advance and book tickets, especially if your trip will be a short one.
Check out some great special offers right here on Minneapolis art venues as well as discounted tickets to attractions and events, courtesy of Minneapolis.org.
