Apart from learning from the experiences of the Frugal Traveler, readers can also help him by leaving a comment or sharing suggestions on his next destination. Like most budget travelers, his itinerary is not set in stone. So suggestions on cheaper travel options would definitely help him a lot.
His "traveling on the cheap", is based on Phileas Fogg's budget, as compared to present inflation. As commented many times, many readers (including myself) do not really think that the Frugal Traveler's budget of $140/day qualifies as traveling on the cheap.
In any case, it's an interesting read. However, if you have plans of touring around on a budget, look for great finds in the comments section. There sure are lots of tips there that a budget traveler can definitely use.
