The Daily Traveler says goodbye to LA times
6 months and 446 posts later, LA Times has decided to end The Daily Traveler, its experiment in web content.
Apparently, the number of readers over at James Gilden's News To Smooth the Road Well-Travelled wasn't good enough for LA Times. It's in the thousands but, hey, a news daily probably has bigger expectations.
Too bad, I say. james Gilden was witty and did give readers up-to-date travel information.
Fortunately, LA Times did agree to transfer thedailytraveler domain to James. So, we should still be seeing more of James.
I'd still keep an eye on his entries, though. I do expect the same wit. And, I suppose, I can assume that he just needs to research more, considering that he probably wouldn't be privvy to the resources LA Times had to offer.
