Event organizers have submitted several proposals for a government project "to revive the tourism industry in the tsunami-hit areas of the South". One organizer has pitched for a Thai Tsunami film with Nicole Kidman stating that the actress would draw attention to the beautiful beaches Thailand has to offer.

Am I the only one not convinced that this is not a good idea?
I am all for promoting the beauty of Thailand by showing pictures and/or videos but to relive what has happened during that fateful day would not really be a great way to attract people to visit the country. The pictures and videos shown previously were horrendous enough and we can already guess the emotions of the people who were caught in this disaster. Watching this and feeling the same emotions (fear, included) all over again would not really make me want to book my flights and spend my summer vacation there.
My two cents.
