Take the AirTrain in New York

, take the AirTrain. AirTrain will take you between JFK, MTA Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) trains, MTA New York City Transit (NYCT) subways, and local buses.
If you ride the AirTrain within the airport (between the airline terminals, parking, hotel shuttles, and rental car facilities), it is FREE.
If you use a Pay-Per-Ride MetroCard, you only need to pay $5 per ride.
If you regularly travel via JFK, you can get an Unlimited Ride MetroCard for $40.
