Take the AirTrain in New York

Save yourself the high cost of a cab ride (not to mention the heavy traffic). If you need to go to/from/around John F. Kennedy international airport, take the AirTrain.

AirTrain will take you between JFK, MTA Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) trains, MTA New York City Transit (NYCT) subways, and local buses.

If you ride the AirTrain within the airport (between the airline terminals, parking, hotel shuttles, and rental car facilities), it is FREE.

If you use a Pay-Per-Ride MetroCard, you only need to pay $5 per ride.

If you regularly travel via JFK, you can get an Unlimited Ride MetroCard for $40.
