Storm Cancellations
Snow and ice storms hit several parts of the US, Hurricane winds tore through Europe and Malaysia experienced floods. Apart from deaths and damage in property, these natural disasters have also caused chaos in the lives of travelers due to delays and cancellations which had to be made.

Stranded travelers who were stuck far away from home had no other choice but to scramble for hotel bookings.

Sure, the airlines may allow you to re-book without paying an additional fee but what if you, dear budget travelers, do not really have that extra money to allow you to scramble with all the other passengers for a hotel booking, what then?

Well, before you start worrying about where you will spend the night, make sure that you stay near the gate or look for an airline representative immediately. You may be entitled to coupons for food and/or hotel, in addition to the alternate flight option which they should offer you.

If you are not so lucky to have that, then go around the airport and look for the best place where you can sleep.
