Spend Christmas in your choice of Hotel

Black Friday was the day when Pandora's Box was opened. People from all walks of life have gone mental. Suddenly, every single inch of space in every single store has been taken over by greedy shoppers.

Every single year, it's exactly the same: traffic jams, parking places that are impossible to find, office Christmas parties with boring speeches from the bosses plus a whole lot more which makes even doing the simplest of task so goddamned inconvenient.

And for those who want their kids to believe in Santa, forget it! Only a stupid kid would continue believing that if at every street corner stands a different Santa.

I have nothing against Christmas, per s. Just that I hate how every city's population has suddenly tripled.

If I had not promised my mom that I would be home, I'd probably head off somewhere where Christmas and all the commercialism attached to it is not observed.

If I were you, I'd avoid Hotels and places which are too eager to spread the Christmas cheer. Hotels like…

The Warwick Hotel in New York. The oh-so-original "Winter Holiday Special" is supposed to make you want to spend a magical time in NY. It's supposed to be Manhattan's Holiday Headquarters. You'd be right in the middle of the holiday hoopla, close to Fifth and Madison Avenues. For those who might be interested, here are the facts: from the 18th until the 26th of December, room rates are being offered at 205$ per night. The Warwick is right across the street from the Museum of Modern Art.

Argent Hotel in San Francisco with yet another uniquely named offer called the "Winter Wonderland Packages" will bring you right to where everyone else would be. At least, the Park & Shop Package will take the parking problem off your hands. You can expect complimentary valet parking (thank God!), shopping discounts, luxurious accommodations and 2 peppermint hot chocolates to enjoy after a day of shopping. I must admit, it is kinda tempting.

Yup, avoid those two hotels this season.

Or *light bulb* better yet, do me a favor and go to the abovementioned hotels instead. Spread your holiday cheer with those who could appreciate them. Leave town so I can have mine back the way it was, before some turkey opened Pandora's Box.

Bah Hambug!

well, a little bit bitter for a christmas holiday article. yet, i agree that on this season, we should also think of the budget. i am a mom too, and practicality for me is much important, especially there are a lot of other things to consider besides leisure.

i re read what I wrote and dang it, you are right! ;-)

it’s just way too commercial and crazy during the holiday season, methinks.

i agree about being practical :-)
