One interesting highlight when in Brazil is shopping for jewelry items. Brazil offers a good bargain for precious and semi-precious stones (amethyst, opals, emeralds, etc.) which are beautifully designed and polished. They are definitely cheaper than those you'd find back home.
Or, you could also shop for leather goods, handicrafts and rosewood products. Unique designs, good quality and… yes, the price is right.
You'd definitely find something to take back home as souvenir for yourself or for your friends and family.
