Seasick on a Cruise Holiday
Filed in archive Cruises by Melissa Petri on June 15, 2005
Are you squeamish? Do you suffer from head aches whenever you travel? Are you prone to seasickness?

If you answer yes to at least one of those questions, chances are, you have never even considered taking a cruise holiday.

You should, you know. With the medications and shipping technology available today, there are ways around this problem which would make it possible for you to enjoy a cruise holiday.

Of course, no treatment is 100% effective but you might want to go to your doctor and talk to him about one of these remedies which could help prevent seasickness, before you book that trip.

You could also talk to your travel agent and choose "modern ships (that) are equipped with stabilizers and very accurate weather predicting equipment. The most popular cruises take place in some of the worlds calmest waters, and with the advent of effective medications the chances of you getting seasick are pretty slim". Read more here.

When in doubt, try a large (which I presume is more stable) ship or a very short cruise for your first cruise to see how you can handle life at sea.

Get over that fear by getting yourself informed and maybe, just maybe, you'd be booking a cruise holiday for you and your family again and again.
