RyanAir Plans to Fly Between US and Europe for $12
Filed in archive European insider on April 13, 2007
No, the title of this post has no typo error. RyanAir really does plan to launch transatlantic flights between the US and Europe with $12 fares.
If that plan pushes through, it would be a dream come true for many budget travelers.
So what exactly does CEO Michael O'Leary have in mind?
- 6 US cities will be served.
- 12 US Dollars is the cheapest possible fare rate but it could go up through the sale of food, duty free goods and in-flight entertainment.
- 50 widebody Airbus A350s or Boeing 787s will be aquired to operate the routes.
I wonder how the other airlines will react to this.
