Paris Opera House: The Real Home of the Phantom
Filed in archive Budget Europe by Lisa Marie Mercer on October 07, 2008

Last week, I spoke about seeing the Phantom of the Opera in Vegas. So here we are today in Paris. Yes, I know, life is tough! The above photo is of the Garnier Opera House, where the Phantom of the Opera supposedly lived. It was the main opera house in Paris, until the Bastille Opera opened in 1989. The Garnier is now used for dance performances. Thus, the spirit of Christine lives on. Now I can't get that music from Phantom out of my head!
Tours of the interior are available at certain times of the day. Cost: 8 Euros
