New Checked Baggage Allowance of RyanAir

New Checked Baggage Allowance of RyanAir

RyanAir, the biggest budget airline in Europe, originally had a 15k checked-in baggage allowance limit. And then, they introduced a baggage charge and made passengers "feel good" by increasing the limit to 20k.

Well, news now is that passengers will go back to having the 15k limit in November. Apart from that, the baggage charge will be increased from September onwards. So that means that normal charges will only cover checked baggages up to 15k. If you go over, then you will be charged with excess baggage rates.

Charge for bags within the 15k limit will be 4.50Euro if pre-booked and 10Euro if not. Excess baggage will be charged 8Euro per kilo.

Note that maximum baggage weight accepted per person is 32k.

Now you know where they make money.
