Megabus
Budget bus company Megabus have expanded their services to San Ysidro. The budget bus company that had it's origins in the UK, recently started servicing the southern California area. It now carries passengers to Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland, San Diego as well as Las Vegas and Phoenix.
Megabus ticket prices start from $1, if you book way in advance or less popular destinations. A fifty-cent booking fee is also charged for reservations. Travelers can book their tickets as early as 45 days prior to departure. Just like other budget carriers, passengers are limited to 1 standard suitcase that weighs no more than 50 lbs and 1 hand carry that will fit the overhead compartment.
Bookings should be done online, afterwhich, reservation number will be given. Simply showing the driver your reservation number will suffice when you board the bus.
