If you're thinking of visiting Boston, New York City, Washington, Baltimore, Buffalo, Toronto or Pittsburgh, get ready for the deal of the century. Starting May 30th, you can get a one-way fare between New York and Boston or between New York and Washington for as low as $1! No, this is not a typo.
Megabus, a subsidiary of Coach USA is planning a price structure similar to the one that is used by southwest airlines. For example, if you book early, a one-way fare between New York and Boston will set you back $1.00. You can't get a ride on the NYC transit system for that price. As you get closer to departure date, the price will rise to a whopping $14 one-way! All of the routes are express, and the buses come equipped with free Wi-Fi.
It gets better. Megabus is offering free tickets for transportation booked between May 30 and June 5th!
