Jaipur is the capital city of the northwestern Indian state of Rajasthan. It is famous for its palaces. Since palaces are expensive to maintain as cultural landmarks, many of them have been turned into historic hotels. As these hotels gained popularity, many hotel managers realized that they could hook in tourists, possibly even charge more money, by calling their hotel a palace.

Do you want to know if that hotel is really a Palace? Contact the Rajasthan Tourist Board
