Is the new iPad travel-worthy?

The whole world is buzzing about the new iPad – Apple's new addition to it's family of gadgets.

For readers of this blog, the main question is: is the iPad worth bringing when you travel? It probably is, mainly because it weighs a lot less than your laptop. You can browse the web, use your email and view photos on the iPad's multi-touch screen while waiting in airports and your hotel rooms.

However, since the current iPad relies mainly on wireless connection and wi-fi, you will have no use of it when you to the beach and other offbeat destinations. But if you are mainly on a business travel, it is well worth bringing one with you.

Moreover…if you have 500 to 700$ in excess, then you may take the plunge and get an iPad. It could be fun road-testing it on your next trip.

Even if it had 3G working, going outside of your home country will most likely cost a fortune. And even if you pay for it, the speed will most likely be shocking.

We are getting there, I think another 5 years and we devices like this will be a lot more perfected.
