Google Earth can give you the world's geographic information right at your fingertips. Just choose a specific location and voil, you get a "planet's worth of imagery and other geographic information right on your desktop. View exotic locales like Maui and Paris as well as points of interest such as local restaurants, hospitals, schools, and more."

You can use it to plan your trip, get directions for driving, finding specific addresses or just to satisfy your curiosity to, maybe, push you to finally make that travel plan.

Google Earth can be downloaded here. It's Free, for personal use.
