As described by Conde Nast Traveler, the Standard truly is NOT your typical hotel.
Where else would you find a hotel where decorations include a hired model lying/sitting prettily inside a glass box.
"She can do as she pleases, even chat on the phone or use her laptop. She must ignore the clientele in the lobby, not make direct eye contact, and she can wear only white."
Reviewers over at Trip Advisor aren't so happy with the hotel services and amenities, though.
I guess, it caters to people who like the offbeat. Or, those who are into ogling barely dressed girls.
Oh well, to each his own.
