"You buy an Airline ticket for $300. Three days later, the fare drops to $200. What do you do?
Don't just grumble about it. Get credit for the difference."
Apparently, for some airlines, this can be done. You can call the airline and ask for your ticket to be re-priced or re-fared. You can either get a cash refund or vouchers for future travel on the same airline.
In the US, USAirways and United allow re-pricing whereas American, Delta and Northwest don't.
Check out Upgrade: Travel Better for the complete information, including a tip on how you can re-price your United ticket online. It surely is worth a try.
And while you are at it, browse the whole site. Upgrade: Travel Better is one great find especially for those who want to learn travel secrets in order to save money.
