This summer, if you are planning to visit Denver for the Democratic Convention, or for any other reason, consider taking a side trip to historic Georgetown..
This former Victorian mining town is home to a number of exciting activities that are perfect for the entire family. While there is much to see, the Georgetown Loop is undoubtedly the area's most popular attraction. This 75 minute train ride travels between Georgetown and Silver Plume. Its tracks scale an elevation of 640 feet over the famous Rocky Mountain
terrain. It's a great way to cure your kids of their expensive Disney habit! This is the real thing!Permalink: Georgetown Loop, Colorado
