In order to give customers the best prices, RyanAir, a budget airline in Europe, has taken away all the frills -- no food, ticket-less, limited baggage, first come-first serve seating, etc.
Reasonable and expected. It is, after all, labelled as a no-frills/budget airline.
What about Northwest, the fourth largest airline in the world? They have said goodbye to free meals last February and instead, gave customers pretzels.

In June 9, they will be taking away the pretzels, as well!!! Coach passengers who may want more than soda, would have to pay for it.
Apparently, this would save Northwest $2 million per year.
I am wondering about one thing, though. With budget airlines, you get less because you pay less. What is the deal for customers of Northwest airlines?
