Fine Dining in New York for Less

Fine Dining in New York for Less

People with discriminating taste in food and wine need not always pay big bucks to enjoy dining in New York.

So, how exactly can you eat gourmet for less?

According to Fodor's, there are 5 ways to save when dining out in New York:

Lunch Like Royalty. This is possible when you have lunch (even in some Michelin-starred restaurants) instead of dinner at your choice of restaurant. Normally, they offer prix-fixe lunch menu. This way, you can "appreciate the spot's distinct flavor as well as the cheaper tab".

Head East. The East Village has several culinary treats waiting for you, with better prices than its more expensive neighbors.

Try Gifted Progeny. There are well-priced restaurants created by gifted chefs.

Hit the Pavement. Why not try food offered by street food vendors like Gyro Truck, Dosa Man and Taco Truck?

Do Dim-Sum. A bargain!
