Because of the recession, bargain vacation homes are abound. Many home owners are putting their homes for rental in an effort to earn more money in case they can't sell. Discounts on vacation home rentals have increased.

1. Orlando, Florida

It's summer everyday in Orlando and if you don't mind the heat then it's a great place for a family vacation. Homes for rent often have multiple bedrooms and a kitchen making it perfect for families. Discounts are as much as 20% or more.

2. Lake Tahoe, Nevada

Lake Tahoe appeals to vacationers all year round. Since it is mostly packed on winters, there are huge discounts on homes for rent during the summer vacation.

3. Maui, Hawaii

Renting a vacation house in Maui saves a lot of money instead of staying in a hotel. Owners have slashed their prices on vacation home rentals to 50% or more.

4. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Book as early as possible if you want to go to Myrtle beach this summer. This place is almost always packed with vacationing people. Deals and discounts abound on summer homes, so make sure you grab the best deal in town.
