Expedia and the UN Foundation have "announced a joint initiative to promote sustainable tourism and awareness of World Heritage sites and communities around the world.
The partnership will benefit these places of cultural and natural interest by offering travel opportunities, consumer education, matching donations, and local tourism economic development projects. With this exclusive agreement, Expedia, Inc. also becomes the first travel industry partner to promote the UN Foundation's initiative to promote and preserve World Heritage sites."
