The Epaper screen provides an overview of the map and consumes power only when updating. The picture storage does not only allow you to store (obviously) pictures, but it also allows you to see where exactly the pictures were taken. And the open source platform allows you to use programs that are useful when you're overseas, such as currency converter, dictionary, etc.
Although this gadget will be released in 2027 (I have no idea if I can still operate a computer by then, haha), it can actually be very helpful and not to mention cool if you have an Epaper Laptop on your back pocket.
