DIY Wide Angle Lens

In my opinion, pictures are the best ever trip souvenir that we can take home with us to remind us of the fun we had while on vacation. Thank God for digital photos, we do not have to spend a lot of money on films and prints. That is, if you have a digital camera.
Since your vacation's budget is already limited, I doubt that buying a new (even a used one) digital camera is possible. You can, however, borrow a digicam from a friend or a relative. If even that is not possible, you can just do a McGyver with a DIY Camera. Another option is to make your own Ten-Dollar Digital Camera.
Plan on going somewhere scenic and want great wide angle shots? The $11 DIY Wide-Angle Lens is the answer to your prayers.
Whichever strikes your fancy, hope you enjoy and take tons of pictures to remember your vacation!

I was the lucky recipient of a new digital camera for my birthday, and now am spending time learning how to get the most out of it. I’ve been taking lots of photos, and even though there really aren’t any that I’m ready to share, I do notice some improvement. I would never have been able to do this kind of practice with film.

That’s a pretty good–and useful–trick. For at least a decade I’ve used a similar one with point and shoot cameras in tough lighting conditions. By putting one eye of your polarized sunglasses over the lens of your camera, voila you have a polarized filter. Quite useful if you’re hiking among snow-capped mountains or are out on a sailboat.
