With the cost of travel rising, many will definitely find alternative ways to travel in order to reduce the cost. Apart from looking for substitutes, we should also keep in mind that costly mistakes should be avoided, at all cost.

Apart from traveling with excess baggage, another costly mistake is falling victim to pickpockets.

Skilled pickpockets can easily steal what is left of your money for the whole trip. If you are lucky, you'd have most of your cash kept elsewhere. If Murphy's Law had its way, you'd lose everything including your back-up stash of money and your credit card.

Pickpockets have several ways to make sure that you are unaware of their intent. So, do watch out in cases you get sandwiched between people and suddenly the one in front halts and the one at your back bumps into you, or if a loud commotion elsewhere distracts you. These ruse could be used by pickpockets to rid you of your moolah.
