If you think that Copper Mountain is exciting in the winter, you should plan a visit in the summer.

"Fridays at Copper" starts with free activities for guests who spend at least $30 at any Copper shopping or dining location, including a free pass for the climbing wall, bumper boats, quad power jump, go-karts and mini-golf. Guests present $30 worth of receipts to Guest Services at the Mountain Adventure Center and get out there and play. After activities in the Village, the evening begins with free live music from 6-8 p.m. during the Friday Night Street Party at the West Lake Overlook. The concerts will feature local and regional music acts throughout the summer, including Angie Stevens Band, Shakedown Street and Lipbone Redding. When the music stops, the stars come out - and families and friends enjoy a free movie under the stars in the Burning Stones Outdoor Theater. The summer lineup includes screenings of Transformers (PG), the Harry Potter trilogy (PG & PG-13) and Bee Movie (PG).

This weekend is Copper Summer Lift Off. Race your family and friends on the only go-kart track in Summit County, conquer a challenging rock climb on the largest outdoor climbing wall in Colorado or just soak up some sun on West Lake. The first "Fridays at Copper," Friday, June 20 will feature the band Meniskus playing the Friday Night Street Party from 6-8 p.m. followed by a free showing of The Goonies (PG) under the stars in Burning Stones Outdoor Theater.

The Summer Lift Off festivities continue this Saturday, June 21, with a Street Party featuring live music from Yamn from 2-4 p.m. on the West Lake Stage. Guests over 21 years of age, starting at 2 p.m., are invited to stop by Storm King Lounge in the Village at Copper, where the first Coors Light draft beer is free, while supplies last. Storm King Lounge will be open this summer, serving sushi, sashimi, nigiri and other great eats - be on the look out for weekly infused Saki specials.
