Cherry Blossom Festival
The Cherry Blossom festival is held from the end of April to the beginning of May in Japan.

The cherry blossom is the national flower of Japan. Cherry trees can be found all over Japan, with areas around castle ruins, riverbanks, lakes and parks as favourite choices for the Japanese to choose as viewing spot; with Yoshinoyama Mountainous Area as the most famous cherry blossom viewing site.

It should be a nice experience to travel to Japan for the Cherry Blossom Festival. However, if that is not possible, and you missed even the 2006 National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, you can still attend the following:

2006 Cupertino Cherry Blossom Festival. Attend the activities on the 29th of April at the Memorial Park on Stevens Creek Boulevard in Cupertino, California, the sister city of Toyokawa Japan.

Sakura Matsuri (Cherry Blossom Festival). "With over 200 trees in bloom, Brooklyn Botanic Garden's flowering cherries take center stage during this phenomenal weekend celebrating Japanese culture." Participate in the festivites from the 29th until the 30th of April in New York.

Do not miss the explosion of life and color!
