Cheap Eats
by Melissa Petri on August 17, 2006

100 places to dine for under $10.
"A meal for less than $10 without tax, tip or alcohol. No fast-food chains, no coffee shops and no slices. Just real food at sensible prices: good tastes and good values."
Best Dining in Manhattan for $20.
Enough said.
Upscale taste? How about trying out the cheaper version of food prepared by top chefs? "With the city's top toques opening cheaper outposts to lure the everyday diner and build a franchise, chef groupies needn't wait for special occasions to indulge their upscale appetites. With all the variety of cheap eats available, you surely wouldn't run out of places to eat during your visit. Don't forget to go to Gray's Papaya at least once, though.
