Cheap Airport Transfer in Brazil
Budget travellers who arrive at the Galeão (Antonio Carlos Jobim international Airport) need to keep in mind that even at the very beginning of your trip, you already have to keep track of your spending habits.

Yes, it may be cheaper in Brazil than back home but that does not mean you should splurge away. If you do your research, you could stretch your dollars even more.

EXPENSIVE: Yes, a taxi to your hotel from the airport would be a lot more convenient. But, didn't you say that you need to save? Taxis from the International Airport have been known to rip tourists off. And if you radio an "official" taxi with a set fare, it would cost you!

CHEAPER: Take the Real Auto Omnibus which you will find right outside the arrivals area of Terminal 1. It runs every 30 minutes and cost around 2US$.

Of course, if you arrive at night, you might have to take the more expensive option.

The darlings of Brazil (think Ronaldinho and Ronaldo) may be in Germany right now but the beaches of Brazil, the samba clubs and the Caipirinhas will be welcoming you with open arms.
