Good Read
by Lisa Marie Mercer on June 7, 2008

Confession: I am a helpless romantic. As such, I am a major fan of the movie 84 Charing Cross Road.
So, when visiting London, I had to spend some time in the Charing Cross neighborhood.
Although the original Marks & CO. Bookstore is no longer in existence, the Charing Cross Road area is book lovers heaven. There are numerous used books stores, each containing aisles and aisles of books on every subject matter. Unlike most of London, this is one of the few places where you can actually get a true bargain. Anything from the classics, to that trashy chick-lit novel that was not worth $14 can be found on Charing Cross Road. Book prices run as low as one pound!
