Cathay Pacific
Let me take centerstage on this blog to rave about an experience I had on air. No, much as I would have liked to, I did not join the mile high club. Instead, I had first-hand confirmation of why Cathay Pacific was selected by Skytrax as the Best Airline in the World.
From the Customer Service Staff I talked to on the phone and the ground staff who checked me in, to the staff on-board, I only have praises for them.
The Customer Service Staff was friendly and helpful. And as she promised, 15 minutes after my call, I was able to check-in online and choose the seats that I wanted using my AsiaMiles membership number.
When I reached the airport, a looong line greeted us. However, their "special" needs counter help us get through all the process in no time, at all.
And on board… stewardesses were friendly, movies shown are new, food choices are better than what other airlines have to offer AND one can ask for food and drinks all the time, and even get a smile with it.
Truly an airline worth considering, should you be flying to Asia. Skytrax didn't make a mistake in declaring them 2005's Best Airline of the World.

I’m a big Cathay Pacific fan too– great airline and I always looking forward to flying on it. I just got back from a trip to Spain and Morocco and I decided to use up some Delta miles (before they go out of business). I mean, how bad could it be? Well, let’s start with a faux first class without even a foot rest!! I mean if these U.S. airline executives are wondering why they are all going bankrupt, they should fly anonymously on their own planes.
