Car Share in Europe

More often than not, traveling to Europe means visiting more than just one country. Most travelers hop from Paris to London and continue on to Rome, Milan, Barcelona, etc.

You are already in Europe so, you might as well take advantage of that and see as much as you can.

If you are an independent traveler, chances are, you have to arrange transportation within the continent yourself. If you do not have money to burn or if you are unable to book/find cheap airfares, I have another option for those who are on a budget and those who simply prefer going around by car–without having to rent one… SHARE A CAR!

"This aplication enables you to make contacts for one-off journeys (holidays, business trips, attending conferences, etc.) as well as regular journeys or commuting (going to work or the university campus or any particular place in any town or city, for example). This service is intended for people who want to travel in a more economical way, respecting the environment, saving energy and widening their contacts and friends, as well as enjoying the simple pleasure of a shared adventure."

Drive2Day is a cost-free ride sharing service all over Europe.

Bugride is another option.

Note that safety precautions must also be taken should you decide to take this option. Basic guidelines can be found here.

Another good way to get around is to use the discount airlines that fly all over Europe. The only difficulty is usually in the scheduling, but you can usually find flights for less than the equivalent of 30 euros.
