Border Protection

BlogPicture

Many times, I have seen travelers stopped at the immigration with their bags wide open, being checked for goods that should have been left behind. A lot of these are innocent mistakes. Young backpackers with their rasta hairdo, in trouble for bringing back something that was thought of as a nice souvenir.

If you are planning on going abroad for a trip, check out the official US Customs and Border Protection page for more information. Information like…

Which items are prohibited (restricted) to bring back in US shores.

How many can you bring back to the US without having to pay duties? Duty-Free Exemption list can be found here.

If you are traveling with your pets, check this page out for basic information on the health requirements.

It's better to know about all these rather than risk inconvenience, pay a fine or worse, go to jail.
