Good Read
by Lisa Marie Mercer on August 25, 2008

There are many travel writers. Some are "just the facts, mam" types of writers. Others write from a more personal perspective. It takes a special type of writer to bring the reader to the suggested location, and make her experience, the sights, sounds and smells that make the destination unique. serendipity brought me to Barbara Samuel. I was desperately searching for a photo for my Colorado Mountain Fitness Site on Examiner.com. Low and behold, I discovered this excellent photo of Lake Dillon, which was fortunately featured under Creative Commons.
This inspired me to explore her website. I discovered that Barbara Samuel is a romance writer, who is based in (YAY!) Colorado. However, her website also features a travel column.
As I said earlier, it takes a special type of writer to bring the travel experience to life. Samuel's travel writings accomplish this with finesse!
