Weekend Getaways
by Melissa Petri on October 30, 2007

Imagine seeing rare white tigers & albino alligators, and meeting the newest and most famous animal in the Zoo, the Komodo Dragon, while celebrating the wonders of nature with families at the Audubon Zoo on the 3rd & 4th of November.
This weekend, the Audubon Zoo is celebrating its 23rd Swamp Fest. Apart from seeing exotic animals, guests can also take part in feeding the animals, tasting authentic Cajun recipes and bring home unique Cajun crafts. Fest-goers can also experience the most authentic swamp exhibit in Louisiana. While traditional Cajun music plays in the background.
Admission is $12 for adults and $7 for children. The Zoo opens at 10am and closes at 5pm.
