Are you a sucker for ghost stories? Do you find Halloween parties lame? Are you as adventurous and tough as John Cusak's character in 1408? Then staying in a haunted hotel might be a good idea to test your fearlessness.
Thanks to Charlyn Keating Chrisholm for publishing a list of the Top 10 Haunted Hotels in the US.
Although I have no intentions of even getting near any of these hotels, because at this day and age, I still believe in ghosts and I still get really (I mean, REALLY) scared when I watch scary movies (i.e. Event horizon, The Shining, etc. etc.). Just reading the write up on Stanley Hotel which was the inspiration of Stephen King when he wrote "The Shinging" send shivers down my spine :-S
Here is an excerpt from the Stanley Hotel:
Room 418 seems to have the most ghostly activity reported. In fact, the entire fourth floor of the Stanley Hotel (formerly the servants quarters) is quite active. Often, the sound of children playing in the halls of the Stanley can be heard, even when no children are present.
