Annual Travel Insurance

How much does a travel insurance cost? How often do you travel? Do you get an insurance each time?

For those who travel more than twice in a year, make sure that you are covered!Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I suggest that you get an annual travel insurance. Not only will it save you money (think along the lines of buying in bulk = discount), it will also give you more flexibility.

Should you seriously consider getting an annual travel insurance for yourself and/or your family, there are some things you need to keep in mind while you are in the process of selecting and getting quotes from different insurance companies.

1. Check if there are any restrictions. Some insurance companies have a maximum number of trips you can take in a year. And some have limits when it comes to the length of each trip.

2. Check for winter sports (skiing, snowboarding, etc.) cover. Would probably be something you should consider if you plan on doing winter sports.

3. Check if they also cover other adventure sports, should you also be so inclined.

4. If you plan on getting an annual travel insurance for the whole family, look for those that provides free cover for under 18s.

5. If for the whole family, check if you (adults and kids) are covered even if you travel independently.

6. Check if coverage includes, apart from Medical, Cancellation and Baggage

Weigh your options and needs before you sign on top of the dotted line.

And remember, if you can afford to travel more than twice a year, you definitely can spare a bit more to make sure that you are safe & sound even as you travel the world.
