Here's a wise tip for budget travelers on the Eve of New Year. The Cheap Squad of Cheap Tickets are advising holiday travelers and party animals to avoid the 'hot zones' to save upto 62% from hotel accommodations. The identified hot zones are Las Vegas, New York City, Chicago, Orlando, Miami Beach, New Orleans, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Ft. Lauderdale, and Anaheim.
Instead of staying in these cities, one can opt for satellite cities close to these hot zones for affordable accommodations.
"Staying just outside the 'hot zone' gives budget travelers the advantage of choice - with proximity to some of the world's most spectacular celebrations as well as lower-key, but equally festive affairs requiring far less hassle and usually far less cash."
